1. Select the "Edit Options" Button
2. "Allow" attentiontrust.org to install the extension
3. Click again on the Download button below
4. Select the "Install Now" button in the extension pop-up. Restart your browser.
 


 

Attention Recorder and Approved Services


The current version of our Attention Recorder is a Firefox extension that allows users to capture aspects of their clickstream and browsing history. (Version 0.64 is compatible with Firefox 1.5.0.4. Safari users should see note #2 below. Flock users can install an unofficial version of the Recorder from Flock'd. This "attention data" can be saved locally on your hard drive and shared with the AttentionTrust Approved Services of your choice.

1) Download without selecting an Approved Service.

(This will allow you to save attention data locally on your hard drive. You can later choose to share your data with an attention service by opening Firefox and going to Tools > Attention Recorder Options > Approved Services, and selecting one or more services.)

Please Note:

  1. The latest version of the Attention Recorder (v 0.64) is compatible with Firefox 1.5.0.4. If you're having difficulties updating your Recorder from the Firefox menu, please try downloading it directly from this page.
  2. If you're a Mac user with a working knowledge of Python scripts, AttentionProxy will allow you to use our Attention Recorder with Safari.
  3. Flock users can install an unofficial version of the Recorder from Flock'd.
  4. You must open a seperate user account at Root Vaults in order to access their attention service.
  5. The "ACME Attention Service" above was created by AttentionTrust for demonstration purposes. When using this service, you will be sharing attention data with AttentionTrust. This is the only time that AttentionTrust will be receiving data from users of our Attention Recorder. Although we had originally planned to terminate this service once actual attention services became available (such as Root Vaults), we've decided to leave it up. To view the aggregated site visit data being shared by users of this service, visit the ACME Attention Service site.)
